What is Ornidazole used for?
Ornidazole is an antiprotozoal drug used in the treatment of bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, giardiasis, intestinal and hepatic amebiasis. This medicine is also used to treat anaerobic bacterial infections. Ornidazole is also prescribed for the prevention of susceptible anaerobic infections in patients who undergo gastrointestinal and dental surgery. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
What are the side effects of Ornidazole?
Like other medicines, Ornidazole can cause some side effects. If they do occur, the side effects of Ornidazole are most likely to be minor and temporary. However, some may be serious and may require the individual to inform the doctor or visit the nearest hospital immediately.
