Nitazoxanide 500mg is used to treat diarrhea caused by protozoan intestinal parasites such as Cryptosporidium parvum and Giardia lamblia. It belongs to a group of medicines called antiprotozoals. This medicine may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
